Leighton Walker

Patient complaints: Leighton presented with an overcrowding issue on the bottom jaw, discolouration and a grinding issue that caused chipping, a broken tooth and two thirds of the jaws had evidence of grinding wear.

Treatment plan: Leighton needed a broken tooth extracted and a protruding tooth extracted to make a straight smile line possible. 22 zirconia crowns were recommended for a smile makeover. Masseter botox to solve his bruxism and protect his restorations.

2 extraction

5 root canals

Masseter botox

22 zirconia crowns (colour BL2?)

Treatment time: 5 days

Result: A broken molar was extracted and the patient chose to have a dental bridge system. A front tooth was extracted to make room for a symmetrical, straight front bite. Five root treatments were required for the bottom front teeth to avoid sensitivity. Then 22 zirconia crowns were placed on the smile area. Bruxism was very evident and so a botox injection was applied to the masseter muscles to immediately stop the bruxism symptoms. Leighton’s smile is now symmetrical, bleach white and confident. A night guard was given to avoid damage to restorations.

Patient complaints: James presented with advanced bone loss to the upper and lower jaw and invaded sinuses to the upper jaw bone. As a result, all teeth were wobbly and there was no chance to save the natural teeth.

Treatment plan: James had the opportunity to have fixed dentures connected by zygoma implants. This treatment was out of budget and not in line with the patient’s wishes. So a removable, locking denture system was the recommended treatment for James’ smile makeover.

5 Megagen® implant

Locking system

2 full zirconia arches

Treatment time: 3 months

Result: James had 2 implants to the upper jaw and 3 implants to the lower jaw. James had good healing and so after 3 months, his removable locking denture system was created. A locking system was attached to the implants and zirconia full arches. This means that James can enjoy a better quality of life. James’ case is a great example to show that there are options that incorporate the wishes of the patient.

Jackie Groom

Patient complaints: Jackie presented with multiple cavities and only 4 upper teeth which made chewing quite difficult. Over time, bone had receded away from the teeth leaving them wobbly and the sinus invaded the bone structure. Jackie complained of headaches and constant gum soreness.

Treatment plan: Jackie had 10 tooth extractions, 2 infections (abscesses) on the upper jaw cleaned, 4 implants placed to the upper jaw and 6 implants placed to the lower jaw. 2 Full zirconia arches were then attached 3 months later with 12 teeth per jaw.

10 Tooth extractions
2 Abscess cleans
4 Megagen® dental implants on upper jaw
6 Megagen® dental implants on lower jaw
12-12 Zirconia Arches

Treatment time: 3 months

Result: Jackie received 4 implants to the upper jaw because the sinuses had invaded her bone structure. Whereas the lower jaw had a good amount of healthy bone structure for the all on 6 implant treatment. Jackie had no peculiarities about her smile makeover other than the infections that were removed which resulted in her headaches and gum pains disappearing. Jackie chose the B1 colour for a natural look.

Derek Samuel

Patient complaints: Derek presented with an infected wisdom tooth and a large missing gap on the upper left posterior side. He complained of tooth aches and felt he wanted a smile makeover.

Treatment plan: The infected wisdom tooth needed to be removed and for a symmetrical and comfortable bite closure, required implants on the upper left posterior side. Because of the bite force and space in this molar area, implants are a required treatment to provide structure and longevity to Derek’ smile makeover.

2 Megagen® dental implant

1 Tooth extraction

3 Root canal treatment

27 Zirconia crowns

Treatment time: 3 months

Result: Derek was an ideal candidate for implant treatment. The surgeon used two Megagen® dental implants for the upper left posterior region. Because the patient was cooperative and the bone structure was healthy and of good quality, implant treatment was finished in 10 minutes. For gaps on the lower side in the posterior region, bridges were a more immediate and appropriate solution for the size of gaps. Derek needed 3 root treatments to avoid prolonged sensitivity with full mouth zirconia crown smile makeover.

Claire Skerrett

https://teknobursasoft.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/2-2-640x640.jpg

Patient Complaints: Claire presented with a broken tooth, multiple caries and almost all teeth had multiple previous restorations. Claire also had abscesses, advanced bone loss of both jaws with 2 invaded sinuses. She could eat food without sharp pains. Claire informed us how previous dental treatment had her traumatised which led to severe dental anxiety. Initially Claire wanted general anaesthesia for implant treatment however after meeting our doctors, staff and seeing the clinic, she felt comfortable enough to continue with local anaesthesia. Had the patient not had treatment, the infections could eventually reach the sinus and cause sinusitis and further complications.

Treatment plan: Claire presented with advanced bone loss and severely damaged and wobbly teeth. So Dr. Oykum recommended the all on 4 implant system for Claire for her smile makeover. Global D® implants were used for their higher quality and increased lifetime.

13 Teeth extractions

8 Global-D® implants

2 Full (12) zirconia arches

Treatment time: 3 months

Result: Claire had her teeth extracted and 8 Global D® implants were placed using the all on 4 implant method. The all on 4 system gives evenly distributed bite force over a full arch (12 teeth per jaw). Claire followed the after-care advice of the surgeon and so all implants healed effectively and all signs of infection were cleared upon her second visit. Claire left happy with a brand new smile thanks to her Dentares Smile Makeover.

Carl Heffy

Patient complaints: Carl presented with 2 broken teeth at the gingival line, a root infected tooth, rotated teeth and without a lateral incisor. This is abnormal because the canine was in the lateral incisor position.

Treatment plan: Carl required 2 broken tooth extractions, 2 dental implants and full mouth crowns to protect his teeth and solve his bite issues.

2 Megagen® dental implant

2 Tooth extraction
1 abscess clean

5 Root canal treatment

28 Zirconia crowns

Treatment time: 3 months

Result: On Carl’s first visit, he had a root treatment to solve his tooth ache and removed 2 broken teeth. A small infection was found around the absorbed broken tooth on the x-ray. However, during surgery the infection was found to be much larger than appeared on the 2D x-ray. So it was cleaned and bone graft was needed in this area. 2 Megagen® dental implants were placed on the bottom molar area. On Carl’s second visit, he required a few root canals as he developed sensitivity on several teeth. 1 bridge was placed on the bottom jaw right side over the implants, and another bridge was placed on the bottom jaw left side from premolar to molar tooth. Carl then had 28 zirconia crowns to complete his smile makeover.

Anca Ivan

https://teknobursasoft.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/1-640x640.jpg

A dental bridge can replace a tooth or several teeth. The fake teeth in dental bridges look and function like real teeth. For a bridge, a person may see a prosthodontist, a dentist who specializes in restoring and replacing missing teeth, or a regular dentist. Either way, there are many options for filling a gap in a smile.

One option is to have a crown — a fake bit of tooth attached to a small portion of real tooth that the dentist has ground down. When a person has lost a tooth or the dentist has had to remove it, however, a crown alone is not an option, and a dental bridge may be the best choice.

Patient complaints: Anca presented with 30% bone loss on both jaws. The intraoral examination results showed all teeth were wobbling. Indicating a serious periodontal disease. If left untreated, the tooth sockets would continue to grow in space around the teeth and the bone loss would accelerate.

Treatment plan: Anca had all teeth extracted and the all on 6 treatment was recommended. All tooth sockets were cleaned of periodontal disease and the implants will help to establish healthy bone connection for stability of her full arch fixed dentures.

21 extractions

12 Megagen® dental implants

2 full zirconia arches

Treatment time: 3 months

Result: Anca had all her teeth extracted and cleaned under local anaesthesia. 6 implants were then immediately loaded. Anca waited 3 months for her bone to fully integrate and stabilise her implants. Once healed, Anca returned for her all on 6 full arch zirconia dentures. The patient was incredibly pleased with the result and is feeling happier and more confident since completing her smile makeover.
